Catcher in the Rye Blog 4
After Holden and Sally break up and separate for the night, Holden calls up his friend Luce and they go to the bar to have some drinks. Holden's immature side seems to come out again, after Sally leaves, and he is back with a friend from his old school. He starts asking about how Luce's Sex life is now that he is in college. This annoys Luce into leaving Holden alone in the bar. I feel that Holden was stupid for accepting the deal that the person in the elevator offered to him. He should not have done and it was his fault that he ended up as he did.

Catcher in the Rye Blog 3
Holden Caufield is a very strange boy from what i have read so far. He has not only flunked out of school, but he has not told his parents yet, and he just left Pencey to head into the city, where he can do whatever he wants. Later on he meets his friend Sally, who he takes on a date around New York City. He seems to act different around her, as he acts as if he cares for her even though he has been thinking about other girls. He likes to think about different women and how they look in his mind,

Catcher in the Rye Blog 2
As i continued through the book, it seems that Holden seems to have a lot of background with the girl that his friend Stradlater was going out with. Her name was Jean Gallagher. Apparently Jean and Holden used to hang out a lot and play checkers together as children. Holden seems to have some feelings for her as he gets riled up once he hears about her and he seems to remember the smallest and most insignificant details about her. I feel like this girl will come into a big part later using this to foreshadow her appearance into the book.

Catcher In the Rye Blog 1
Hey there, this is the start of my blog for the Catcher in the Rye. So far it seems to be about this boy named Holden Caufield. Now my first impression of this boy was that he was an irresponsible teenager who didn't like or enjoy school at all. He had just flunked out of his school which was called Pencey. He seemed immature for his age as he liked to , as he called it, "horse around a lot." As he did this he annoyed the other boys around him who seemed to be on a different maturity level than him.
